  • The transformer must have at least 3 percent inductive reactance level.

  • The transformer must meet the IEEE 597 standard on overloads.

  • The transformer must be listed UL 1561 for non-sinusoidal current loads.

  • The transformer but be engineered to handle highly cyclic process control applications and the thermal and mechanical stresses associated with them.
